Environmental Test Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out manufacturing and integration stages of relevant projects while prioritizing the safety and efficiency of space platforms such as satellites and orbit transfer vehicles by referencing specified engineering requirements,
• Adapt to Fergani Space's dynamic engineering structure and keep up with relevant engineering processes, conducting analyses concurrently with design changes,
• Interpret technical inputs of collaborating engineering teams and transfer these inputs' outputs to responsible analysis activities, overseeing the entire production and integration process,
• Develop integration plans for space projects, create operational work orders related to processes and workflows, and update them as necessary,
• Assemble components and perform assembly of sub-systems in space platforms,
• Design and perform necessary analysis studies for ground support equipment, fixtures, and apparatus used in space platforms,
• Integrate equipment and systems (hardware, control systems, power systems, cabling, etc.) whose sub-system level assembly is completed into the platform,
• Design logistic support equipment for space vehicles, conduct their analysis, ensure their production, and facilitate their transportation with minimal risk,
• Improve assembly processes and provide status reporting,
• Develop methods for manufacturing to achieve the specified level of quality and efficiency without interruption,
• Regularly report requirements and revision requests related to operations to ensure operational needs are met,
• Conduct operations in accordance with occupational health and safety rules.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering,
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing and production methods (including academic, internship, competition, and project experience),
• Experience with the use of any 3D CAD software (preferably CATIA V5/V6, etc.),
• Basic level proficiency in using computational engineering support applications (preferably MATLAB, Python, COMSOL, ABAQUS, LabVIEW, PTC Creo).

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with risk mitigation for hazardous systems (high pressure, cryogenic, flammable, hypergolic, pyrophoric),
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, machining and processing techniques, coating, non-destructive testing, heat treatment, leakage testing, cable harness/cable routing, thermal control paints, laser and plasma cutting-bending, cutting tools, and their features,
• Knowledge of material selection, detailed design and assembly of complex structural and mechanical systems, quality control stages,
• Familiarity with optimization concepts applied in testing, analysis, and design,
• Ability to execute technical documentation processes such as work orders, operation instructions,
• Proficiency in Bill of Materials (BOM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in English, (Preferably TOEFL 80 and above, IELTS 6.5 and above, YDS and YÖKDİL 65 and above),
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment,
• Preferably a master's or doctoral degree,
• Preferably having conducted academic publications or articles in relevant fields,
• No travel restrictions for assignment to subcontractors and integration centers in different cities and countries.
