Design mechanical parts for space platforms, such as satellites and orbit transfer vehicles, focusing on safety and efficiency based on defined engineering requirements.
Maintain total weight and balance limits during the design process, conducting weight reduction studies based on components and construction.
Design mechanical systems, including active separation mechanisms, attitude control mechanisms, deployable energy systems, hydraulic and pneumatic propulsion system equipment, and fuel distribution and storage equipment.
Create mechanical designs for housing required for electronic equipment, and prepare manufacturing readiness and quality control documents for the designed parts.
Perform necessary vibration calculations for electronic equipment containing sensitive sensors and carry out vibration isolation (damping) studies for these equipment.
Optimize design processes considering criteria such as fatigue, life calculations, material selections, and assembly and integration ergonomics during system integration.
Have a moderate understanding of aluminum, composites, and engineering plastics, and be able to design with a focus on manufacturing processes.
Manage design processes by critically considering geometric dimensioning and tolerancing issues.
