2025 Summer Term | Space Environment Test Engineering
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting comprehensive tests of projects while prioritizing the safety and efficiency of space platforms such as satellites and orbit transfer vehicles, based on specified engineering requirements.
Executing tests related to thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC, radiation, vibration, shock, etc., at the level of platforms and equipment designed for space projects, following reference documents that group the main requirements.
Analyzing data (fluid, structural, thermal, electrical) to verify test processes and performance, providing feedback for design, production, and development processes.
Creating test environments and selecting, setting up, and operating test equipment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical-Electronic Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from a university.
Experience with the use of any 3D CAD software (preferably CATIA V5/V6, etc.).
Intermediate knowledge of MATLAB and C++.
Ability to use computational engineering support applications at a basic level (preferably capable of using Python and similar software/programs).
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of hazardous systems (high pressure, cryogenic, flammable, hypergolic, pyrophoric) and measures to prevent potential dangers.
Familiarity with ECSS, ESCC, and NASA testing standards.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods, machining processes, coating, heat treatment, thermal control paints, laser and plasma cutting and bending, cutting tools and their properties.
Understanding of space radiation and space weather.
Knowledge in material selection, detailed design and assembly of complex structural and mechanical systems, and quality control processes.
Ability to conduct technical documentation processes such as work orders and operation instructions.
