RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting all necessary stages of projects by referencing defined engineering requirements for space platforms such as satellites, orbit transfer vehicles, and launch systems, prioritizing their safety and efficiency,
Adapting to Fergani Space's dynamic engineering structure, interpreting the inputs of collaborating engineering teams from a technical standpoint, transferring these inputs to the work at hand, and keeping up with relevant processes,
Having knowledge of reusable launch systems and propulsion systems based on sustainable aviation fuels,
Analyzing components in high vibration and pressure environments,
Using new materials and technologies for rocket motor fuels, defining process improvement and qualification plans,
Developing and implementing procedures for integration, testing, and system activation of launch systems and ground support equipment,
Designing subsystems and equipment deemed necessary for conducting system-level tests,
Identifying high-risk processes and potential issues during launch and participating in necessary process improvements to ensure operational excellence,
Conducting studies on the behavior of various materials at cryogenic and high temperatures for the development of launch vehicle systems,
Developing strategic plans for the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of launch infrastructure, ensuring the design, construction, and operation of launch areas.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering,
At least 1 year of experience in the field of launch systems development (including academic, internship, competition, project),
Experience using any 3D CAD software (preferably CATIA V5/V6, etc.),
Basic proficiency in using computational engineering support applications (preferably Ansys, MATLAB, Python COMSOL, ABAQUS, LabVIEW, PTC Creo).
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of high-risk systems (high pressure, high energy, hazardous liquids/gases, cryogenic, hypergolic, pyrophoric fuels) and prevention of potential hazards,
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods, additive manufacturing, forging, casting, shaping, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, coatings, non-destructive testing, heat treatment, leak testing, thermal control paints, laser and plasma cutting-bending,
Experience in integration of launch vehicles or spacecraft, composite structure design or testing, test operations with liquids and/or gases, data collection, and field measurements,
Familiarity with instrumentation and control components (pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, flow meters, load cells, relays, solenoids, pneumatics, valves),
Knowledge of material and manufacturing technologies, orbit/flight analysis and optimization, design, testing, and manufacturing of composite structures, design, testing, and manufacturing of metallic pressure vessels, mechanical and thermal analysis and testing, external aerodynamic CFD analysis,
Ability to write test plans and test procedures,
Ability to conduct technical documentation processes such as work orders, operation instructions,
Proficiency in Bill of Materials (BOM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts.
Knowledge of optimization and DOE methods applied to testing, analysis, and design,
Experience in combustion chamber design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, and engine ignition,
Experience in design and production of propellants and gas systems,
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Proficiency in English (Preferably TOEFL 80 and above, IELTS 6.5 and above, YDS and YÖKDİL 65 and above scores),
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment,
Preferably a graduate or postgraduate degree holder,
Preferably have conducted academic publications or articles in relevant fields,
No travel restrictions for assignment to subcontractor companies and integration centers in different cities and countries.
