Structural Analysis Engineer

We seek a Mechanical Analysis Engineer to join our Satellite R&D team for the Space Project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting analyses of structures and components of space platforms such as satellites and orbit transfer vehicles by referencing defined engineering requirements, prioritizing the safety and efficiency of the relevant project,
• Adapting to Fergani Space's dynamic engineering structure, keeping up with relevant engineering processes, and conducting analyses concurrently with design changes,
• Interpreting the inputs of collaborating engineering teams from a technical standpoint, transferring these inputs to the analysis work at hand,
• Creating structural analysis models and providing feedback for design,
• Performing comparative analyses on parts using finite element programs for shape optimization and geometry optimization,
• Supporting the improvement of modeling techniques with data from test results to increase simulation accuracy, providing suggestions based on experimental data, and making improvements,
• Planning relevant test scenarios under required boundary conditions,
• Conducting static, dynamic, and modal analyses at the system and component levels,
• Having knowledge of aluminum, composites, and engineering plastics and being able to analyze and direct designs considering manufacturing processes,
• Regularly reporting requirements and revisions for the analyses to be performed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering,
• Preferably at least 1 year of experience in mechanical or structural analysis (including academic, internship, competition, project),
• Proficiency in at least one pre-process, post-process, and solver program (Preferably Simcenter 3D or Nastran),
• Ability to use computational engineering support applications at a basic level (preferably Matlab, Ansys, C++, Python, COMSOL, CATIA V5/V6, ABAQUS, MSC Patran/Nastran, HyperMesh, LabVIEW, PTC Creo).

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in mechanical vibrations,
• Knowledge of sinusoidal, random, and shock vibrations,
• Performing modal and dynamic analysis and preparing the 3D design model for analysis,
• Having knowledge of the dynamic environment to which spacecraft are exposed,
• Knowledgeable about detailed analysis of complex structural and mechanical systems and material selection,
• Ability to guide optimization processes applied to testing and design,
• Bringing together multiple engineering disciplines for a comprehensive analysis and being creative and problem-solving,
• Having NASTRAN DMAP reading-writing capability.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in English (Preferably TOEFL 80 and above, IELTS 6.5 and above, YDS and YÖKDİL 65 and above scores),
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment,
• Preferably a graduate or postgraduate degree holder,
• Preferably have conducted academic publications or articles in relevant fields,
• No travel restrictions for assignment to subcontractor companies and integration centers in different cities and countries.
